My favorite of #Linux is Mint - and I see no reasons to stay with an OS from M$ ...
Installed Immich tonight on Debian 12. Had to install docker and wrap my head around that. I pointed an external library at the old Plex photo directory and so it will spend quite a few hours migrating those photos into the Immich environment. So far it looks good. Much better than Plex at photos, and with Plex creating separate apps for video and photos and now charging for remote access, it was time for a change.
Self-hosted, no Google Photos.
Cant Find something similar to autocad for #linux . FreeCad and Libre Cad are not.
After many years of using Debian, I thought it was time for something new. However, as I don't feel like familiarizing myself with a new package manager, I'm sticking with APT.
As a distribution I am currently testing Linux Mint, Debian Like, or in other words: LMDE 6. Yes, it runs much faster than Debian 12 on my laptop. Not everything works as it should so far, but when my new hard disk arrives on Saturday, we'll see.

Nun druckte der Drucker gestern Abend, seehr langsam mit einer Seite pro Minute. Da wollte ich bei 70 Seiten nicht warten....
Der Druck bricht ab nach zig Seiten und fängt dann von vorne an! Das ganze Dokument. 5 Versuche mit jeweils 2/3 der 70 Seiten ...
Und die Fehlermeldung ist so nichtssagend...
Und alles für eine #Retrocomputer Austellung morgen
