I am preparing for the new exhibition in the cafe in Viljandi, Estonia. It is a duo exhibition together with another wonderful artist Talia. She works with colors and abstract painting, whereas mine is always figurative and narrative. Like the feature piece - with the goose - is again inspired by the book #themirrorvisitor but reworked in my style. The exhibition then titled very simply: Colors, flowers and geese.

This is an illustration for a great book I read recently - The Mirror Visitor by Christelle Dabos.

I can recommend this book to everyone who likes historical fantasy, magical worlds and slow-burn romance. But a small warning: the book series’ ending is controversial. It is thrilling but also devastating as it makes you crave for more reading or even for writing yourself (that was my case).

These paintings belong to my new series of Simurgh which means thirty birds. It is my interpretation of the old Persian poem ‚The Speech of Birds‘ where birds are metaphors for different human characters.
