The street that my mum lives in is a one-way street, but wasn't marked as such on #Google Maps. This caused many drivers to drive the wrong way. I have tried to edit it on Google Maps (there is such functionality), but to no avail. No matter how often I submitted a change (with photos of street signs!), Google said "Sorry, we could not verify it".

Solution: Edit the street on #OpenStreetMap! A few months after I did this, Google seems to have stolen the data, as it regularly does, and now the street is correct in both datasets!

People thought us alarmists for not wanting Mastodon to federate with Meta. THIS is the backdoor deal that was made under NDA with us being told the entire time that our data was safe and this was for the good of Mastodon (something I never believed). Not only do the big corporations get access to our data despite us coming here to get away from that, now they will get permanent use of it in only two weeks?

Might be time to close my fedi accounts. I don't use them nearly as much anymore, and this place is continuing to try to destroy the reasons I came here in the first place.

Even non-profits will practice death by a thousand cuts against their users.

If I recall correctly, there was a recent article that a reference the introduction of pesticides into birds because birds pick up materials out of that are contaminated with pesticides and include them into their nests, so the chicks are exposed to pesticides during their very rapid develop.

We already know that a great deal of these pesticides are meant to interfere with a neurology of insects, which is not without an effect on other animals, birds and mammals.

Non fascists should have the same punishment for the same crimes, and they usually do, except for the bourgeoisie, actually the left is more harassed by justice and then usually proven not guilty (see Spain and France).
