@sam Obviously no one thinks that exactly. Other varied thoughts lead people to buy cars of that direction, and the reasons a corporation would make such a car is likely easy to figure but also intended to be obscured because the reality of their motivation is less than pleasant.

Seriously though, who are all these people who look at cars and think "you know what works really well, never breaks, and also I have the same one for 10+ years? Computers and phones. I'd like my car to be more like that."
