Inspired by the Now page concept created by @sivers, I've finally published /now on my #PersonalWebsite! https://bm.gy/now

Had to tweak my #StaticSiteGenerator just a bit to accommodate this unique new post type: The latest post will always be displayed in full at /now, with past entries eventually appearing as a simple list right below it.

That was a fun technical exercise as well as a nice excuse to reflect. Highly recommended!

@Gar I've dreamed of finding the ones I've made somehow on some long lost HDD or CD-R in a drawer back home. Though they most likely only exist on a floppy disk on a landfill somewhere now unfortunately

I feel pretty confident about the foundations of my SSG, considering this feature took about 4–5 hours to add on without any major hacks.

I've added a #PlainText exporter to my bespoke #StaticSiteGenerator.

Most pages on my site now have .txt counterparts, which for now you can access by appending the extension to the URL directly, e.g. https://balintmagyar.com/colophon.txt

I'd like to look into hosting #GeminiProtocol and/or #Gopher mirrors of my site at some point, and this felt like a logical step towards that. Shout out to @fab for the inspiration!

In elementary school the social dynamic often revolved around accommodating bullies. Very few people liked them but most found it easier to adjust their own behavior to avoid being targeted than to stand up to them.

It's really remarkable how that scales.
