NYM Technology is a Swiss startup that develops decentralized infrastructure to protect privacy on the Internet. The technical director is Dave Hrycyszyn.

He is also co-author of Chainspace's blockchain sharding protocol and the leaderless PBFT-variant consensus protocol Blockmania, whose prototype turned out to be probably the fastest distributed ledger in the world, sparking interest from Facebook's Libra, where he worked briefly with the rest of the Chainspace team.

NYM Technologies was founded in 2019 by a group of privacy technology researchers and developers, including Harry Halpin, a former employee of MIT and W3C.

He left W3C, believing that Digital Rights Management had sacrificed user security for the profit of a few centralized platforms.
