Got my 90s playlist on. I'm trying not to think too hard about how long ago they were, and how old I am. I know it's relative, but my 90s self would confirm that I'm old.

TIL what a stub nib is for:

Produces a narrow line on the cross stroke, broad on the down stroke, to create a "ribbon" effect. Mimics the look of calligraphy (without having to do anything extra!). Different than flex nibs, which require pressure to create variation in the line width.

If someone shares with you a special topic, author, series, or any other thing that's near and dear to them, what's the right thing to do if you don't care for it?

My initial impulse is to tell them and tell them why, but in my experience you can not only disappoint them but you might even accidentally convince them you're right about your criticism. I'm not about destroying someone's joy.

Great. So my body's been telling me that espresso or black coffee's too acidic for me right now. I A/B tested by eliminating coffee for a few days, and my mouth was happier even if my mood wasn't. Apparently I'm destined for the "nothing I want to eat or drink" diet, because everything I like to consume is on the list of GI irritants.

Because I'm only seeing other #Jews posting about this, non-Jews I need you to be aware that for the past month or two there has been a wave of bomb threats and swattings at #synagogues all across the US. They usually do it when services are being livestreamed. I haven't seen a single non-Jew talking about this. High holidays are coming up in a few weeks, which is when most attacks happen against our #communities. We're worried, and we need #people to know what's happening to us.
