I am honored to co-supervise the PhD thesis of Francesca Ciulla.

Francesca’s research investigates how design can support the development of digital cultural archives for small communities, in particular the Arbëresh community in Sicily.

I look forward to following the insights the research will bring to the transdisciplinary field of visual exploration of cultural heritage.

Crossover fanfiction between certain #Lemmy #communities feel impossible.

Lemmy.world's /c/petrats (pet rats) with /c/superbowl (superb owls) for example.

I'm definitely sided with the latter. I just saw a post with a cute
#mouse pet and couldn't help but to imagine it being mercilessly chased, lifted to the skies and devoured all the way to its bare carcass by a cuter, majestic Little #owl... Oh, I'd love to watch this situation (enviously for the mouse, I should confess), as the helpless, wingless and laughable mouse becomes her lunch while he dangles from her talons, above a high tree twig where he couldn't even dream getting to on its own miserable limbs. The mouse is fated to become her lunch, as Mother Nature wants him to be. For me, this is a source of happiness: I'd surely watch this gory scene, quietly so not to disturb the owl, with overwhelming awe.

"Oh mommy ❤️, why u kiss is so painful?"

Real close-up photo of a mouse held up close by an Athene noctua (little owl). The mouse is slightly open-mouthed and eyes startled in a surprised expression, while the owl is biting his neck and looking at him with pretty menacing eyes.

I have made the choice to leave Discord. With all of the privacy issues revolving around Discord currently plus the Age verification stuff, it is just a bit ridiculous.

I have already peaced out on Ring already as I posted about on my site.

Leaving Discord though is a bit more complicated though. There a quite a bit of communities I am a part of (cybersecurity, tech, etc.) that are on Discord. Not sure if they are going to be moving somewhere else, probably not.

I am wondering if any of my cybersecurity and tech friends know of other places out there on the webs where communities are. IRC? Others? That I can hope on over to?

Any suggestions?

Pls feel free to boost this for maximum help! Thanks.
