Alison & I enjoyed a date night at Art All Night in Trenton, #NJ, last night. It was my first time at AAN since 2018 when it was still a true 24-hour event held at an old Roebling Factory building. Now, it takes place at the War Memorial and switches to an online format from midnight to 6 am EDT. Still a fun time.

Spent a couple of hours Sunday at R.A.D. (Rock Ain't Dead) Fest at Proprietors Park in Gloucester City, NJ. Organized by teen jam band Lackadaisical Lemon, the one-day music festival showcased fellow young artists/bands. I went mostly to see the fantastic Polaroid Fade, whose song, "Bliss," is getting a lot of airplay on Philly's WXPN. They were great, but Trumpet Chics were freakin' amazing. Brynn Marks also played a nice solo acoustic set of covers. #njmusic

Still revisiting our honeymoon 15 years ago...OTD in 2010, we took the ferry from Piraeus to Mykonos. I really enjoyed Mykonos...probably because something would happen two days later in Miami that I had to experience via my MacBook in Mykonos after the fact. But I did really love the island.

15 years ago today, my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Greece. First stop...Athens and a tour of the Acropolis...after which, I said, "Oh, our hotel isn't that far away, let's ditch the tour and walk back." Three hours later, we finally made it back, but it was the best kind of being lost.

Just saw South Jersey's own Polaroid Fade play a fantastic set in a small parking lot in Hammonton, NJ, as part of nice, little arts & music festival. I expect big things from this band. #NJ #music

I was looking for a photo in my archives when I found this image of a newspaper article about my old Technology and the Arts podcast with John LeMasney. And it turns out it was published in The Lawrence (N.J.) Ledger (now defunct) 18 years ago yesterday (April 26).

Scenes from yesterday's family trip to NYC. Our boys are 12 and 10, respectively, and we hadn't taken them to Manhattan yet (only Brooklyn). First selfie here was inadvertently taken in front of the historic Brill Building (extreme right corner of image), which I didn't realize until after I took it. Saw the Gazillion Bubble Show at New World Stages, and experienced Vessel and the High Line. Also enjoyed a pretty good and relatively inexpensive lunch (by NYC standards) at Galaxy Diner.

An online post featuring a group of four Muppet-inspired characters resembling musicians with long hair and various clothing styles. The caption humorously compares them to the band Genesis, specifically referencing Peter Gabriel.

Welp...felt pretty good this morning for the 9-mile in Philly, but it all fell apart late into mile 2...back tightness, cramping in both legs, right foot pain...oof. Just slowed down & fought through it.

Looking forward to tomorrow morning's in Philly. Come out if you can. The latest NAM 3K suggests a chance of a stray shower. Not too bad.

Hello there, evil accordion...it's been a few years...but apparently I need to figure out how to play some songs on you again. Ugh.

@BlowUpRadio@gardenstate.social It was kind of funny. He was sitting at the front after his set and it wasn't until Jenny Barnes Band was setting up that I managed to get near him. And then he glanced, recognized me and came over right away to greet me...which saved me from having to say "Hi Greg, you may know me as that weirdo online." But, yeah, he is a good dude and an amazing singer-songwriter. That is also a very cool venue.

Made my first visit to Albert Music Hall in Waretown, NJ, and finally saw — and met IRL — fellow @BlowUpRadio@gardenstate.social artist, the fantastic Greg McGarvey! Plus, I saw my former high school classmate Jenny Barnes & her band close things out with a great set. Pretty good Sunday afternoon/evening.

Forgot to post my run from yesterday — my first 10-mile workout of 2025. Wasn't too bad, considering. Would love to get back to where I was just 5 years ago and doing 10 miles in 90 minutes, easy.
