@richiekhoo I'm guessing for now they will just ignore them since they are such a small proportion of the users, who knows how that will change though
If you enjoy someone's post on #Mastodon go ahead and click the star. If someone tells you that's meaningless because there's no #algorithm, ignore them. Sure, boost the post too if you want others to also see the post, but don't think telling someone you like what they posted is somehow unimportant. In real life I don't tell someone, "good job," or "well said," or "I love that," for the sake of some algorithm, I do it because I'm human and they are too. It's fundamental to being truly social.

@Posty thanks for the info! I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how all this activism can have a consistent message, like a specific set of demands or something. Since most people (in Aus at least) already agree that action is needed, there's only so much that can be achieved without broadly deciding on what that action shouldb be
@Posty that's a cool idea, although my thought is it needs to go beyond 'raising awareness', most people are already aware. I think what needs sharing is clear ways people can take action, maybe a top 3, so that there can be a lot more coordination. What's your thoughts on that?
