“Get shit done” seems to be the norm in the industry unfortunately - and I mean literal shit and not the figurative one. I have no doubt it helps in that respect but also kinda stands as the antithesis for all I have ever tried to do in my career - it’s better to not build something shitty than to deploy it and fix it later. But I suppose that approach has limited commercial value right now given how most companies are chasing exponential returns. 🤷♂️

mit großer Sorge verfolge ich die aktuelle Mission des zivilen Hilfsschiffs Madleen, das am 1. Juni 2025 vom Hafen in Catania (Sizilien) in Richtung Gaza aufgebrochen ist. Die Mission der Freedom Flotilla Coalition verfolgt ausschließlich humanitäre Ziele.
An Bord befinden sich Hilfsgüter wie Babynahrung, medizinische Ausrüstung, Hygieneartikel sowie Prothesen für verletzte Kinder.
Unter den Teilnehmerinnen befinden sich unter anderem die Klimaaktivistin Greta Thunberg, die französische Europaabgeordnete Rima Hassan und die deutsche Menschenrechtsaktivistin sowie Staatsbürgerin Yasemin Acar, die sich seit Jahren für Geflüchtete und humanitäre Belange engagiert. Der israelische Verteidigungsminister Katz hatte bereits gewarnt, die Reise der Madleen mit allen Mitteln zu verhindern. Nun ist genau das passiert.
Angesichts der unrechtmäßigen Festnahme der Aktivist*innen in internationalen Gewässern, bitte ich Sie dringend, sich für den Schutz und die Freilassung von Yasemin Acar und den anderen Aktivist innen einzusetzen. Die deutsche Regierung hat eine Pflicht zum Schutz ihrer Staatsbürger*innen weltweit vor Repression und unrechtmäßiger Festnahme.
Bitte helfen Sie mit, weiteres menschliches Leid zu verhindern. Die Menschen auf der Madleen handelten gewaltfrei und mit rein humanitären Absichten. Sie verdienen Schutz, auch seitens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
