@The4thCircle What is hanging from the ceiling?
Hello! I am a game dev, already worked from small to big teams, leading and getting lead to deal with !FUN! and fun things.
Also, I learned that being apolitical is a kind of politics.
Currently doing his best to make his own game engine here:

@The4thCircle What is hanging from the ceiling?
@NullTheFool it's fine, we all are bad here.
Finally had time to watch Pewdiepie's "I installed Linux" video.
Don't know what I was expecting... but *wasn't* expecting a great list of reasons why, in 2025, you should stop using Windows and install Linux—he even mentions how to use systemd-analyze!
Hello, I am looking for work related to #Gamedev, I develop games in #Godot (1 and a half years experience) and #Unity (5 years) as a programmer I have in total 14 years experience.
A example of a game I worked in is https://store.steampowered.com/app/2795160/Exosky/
I am in the process of making my own game engine on my free time https://github.com/leandro-benedet-garcia/clockwork-reverie
If you want more details you can check my github https://github.com/leandro-benedet-garcia or my linked in https://www.linkedin.com/in/leandrobgarcia/
@JenJen you should throw a drunk happy livestream party when your studio completes a year
@art_codesmith @gamingonlinux
Yes, there is "Becoming Public"
@aeva @sirjofri Sorry if it was unhelpful, using breakpoints or conditional breakpoints is the work around that I know.
However, out of curiosity, I did look it up. Depending on the coding language and what information the debugger have, it might be not possible to identify loops from the debugger perspective.
@jovialthunder
me too mechs, me too
@aeva I did not know you could pause a program without a breakpoint.
I guess you could if you use the command line.
@aeva I mean, technically the fast forwarding is the break point at the first line after the loop.
@eniko It's because you need to install first, and I meant that the package name in arch is nvidia-prime (sorry if I was not very clear about it)
But pretty much in the end is just a python script that sets the environment variables for you. It is easier to remember and quicker to type, because in the end you need to set the environment variables for every command or software that you want to run in the dedicated GPU (Kinda annoying, but alas)
@eniko you might be able to force the integrated GPU if you unset those variables
Also, you can replace those variables with prime-run (in arch I know the package name is nvidia-prime) if you'd like
@Klassika
Are we adding the mercurial version control system to the mix?
@emaytch Allegedly
@nixCraft I read the manual and check code samples, that's how I learn new stuff currently.
@simontatham OR the god.
There is a god called Mercury. In fact, the planet is named after the god. Same as the other planets, they were gods in Roman mythology, which were Greek gods originally.
The plot thickens.
@NullTheFool
What youtuber?
@aeva I really love how happy the fish is looking at that star.
@eniko It might depend on laws. But if she didn't have the coronation ceremony yet, she officially wouldn't be the queen. Or for it to have a queen, there needs to be a king (Which would be quite stupid, but alas)
