In the second panel, we see a nightstand with an LCD clock and some belonging strewn atop it. The clock reads 5:11 PM. The narration continues, "I am tired. There has to be hope because I cannot imagine a world without it but I am having the hardest time finding it right now."

In the third panel, the silhouettes of houses and trees dot the landscape as the sun sets, light reflecting off of the whispy clouds in the sky. The narration continues, "I want to hope for days where I don't worry about my health, the health of my family and friends. Days where the word "pandemic" doesn't even cross my thoughts. In the last panel, Emily turns over in bed, her arm crossed over her face as she lets out a sigh. The narration concludes, "I want to hope."

In the fourth panel, a lid is lifted up on a slow cooker, revealing rows of cooking cabbage rolls. The narration concludes, "of safety, of comfort. Of a place that will always be held for me."

I did a bunch of figure drawing gestures the other day while hanging out at the fencing practice my roommate goes to! Been a while since I’ve done any live figure drawing, let alone something where people are constantly moving, so I’m really pleased with the results!
