@smilingheretic will get citizenship next year as well! Had to do LITUK to get ILR. Was on a Tier 2/Minister of Religion visa. Thought about expediting, but without any trips planned took my chances. Fortunately it was a quick decision (which makes sense as it was supposed to be an automatic one). Like I said, I was warned 7 months, but was only three from the first official thing (booking my test) to getting the card in

@smilingheretic good luck with it! they were surprisingly quick. Had my life in the UK test back in November, got biometrics done beginning of January, approval and BRP just over a month later. Considering I know someone who recently had to wait 7 months from the start and nearly five after applying, a one month turnaround seems like a real win!

Today I received my Biometric Residence Permit that says on it “Indefinite Leave to Remain.” I was notified over the weekend I’d been granted the status. I’m now officially a permanent settled resident of the UK! Altrincham (13th in the national league) fans stormed the pitch after beating Wrexham’s (2nd in the national league) reserves in a shootout in the FA trophy in a round of 32 match. They’re literally the 13th ranked team eligible for the trophy. That’s hilarious. Attendance was only 2K, half of which were Wrexham supporters. So only about 1,100 Altrincham fans showed up for this match that was important enough to merit a pitch invasion. Big oof. #Wrexham #WrexhamAFC #NationalLeague #FATrophy
