Friend recently returned from a work conference. Was discussing travel difficulties with a nice guy they met there, he reported that he and his husband recently tried to get a flight out of Florida with their twin toddlers. While trying to board early to settle the kiddos, they were told “only the biological dad” could accompany the kids on for early boarding, the other parent would have to wait.

I don’t even know what to say to this, it’s messed up on so many levels. But just, FYI.

#BudapestPride today was illegal... but also the largest we had in 30 years. Incredible turnout. Trying to ban it made it stronger. Propaganda trying to make hate the majority opinion failed.

A handful of counter-protesters blockaded the Freedom Bridge (because irony is lost on them), but the parade moved one bridge over and passed them by.

One of my kids in robotics camp had this running joke where she'd just randomly do 'outros' and 'intros' like:

"Will the motor start? Find out in the next episode of robotics camp!"

"... And we're back!"

"Writing code! Let's get right into it!"

To which I'd say "WHO are you talking to, Jamie???"

But this is, one of those contagious jokes so I'm now constantly saying "And we're back!"

Had a great visit to the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie today. Didn't see the bison but had a good long walk on the Blodgett Marsh trail. Loads of wildflowers, dragonflies, and birds. At least 3 birds I've never seen before. Picked a dozen ticks off the dog when we got home. Went early so that we finished the 7 miles by 1030.
