After 8 sessions, our Tales from the Loop mini campaign came to an end. The kids investigated and adventured successfully during Four Seasons of Mad Science and, unbeknownst to most adults there, made the Mälaren Islands a safer place again.

Barkeep on the Borderlands does something like that: Your state of drunkenness increases until you pass out (failing a roll with the lowest die in the chain).

I think that's a fun idea (both yours and the BotB one), worthy of further exploration!

It went very well! I'm often a bit worried that players might rush through the "Estate" box scenarios. But here they really explored (almost) everything, some memorable (non combat) interactions, lots of laughs, just an excellent, light-hearted and ultimately wholesome experience.

Excellent session yesterday playing #Mausritter! My players explored Amanda Lee Franck's "The Wizard of Arms and Armour" and had a lot of fun. This game just never disappoints and I can't help but keep coming back to it. 🐭❤️

Great show by #dankojones last night at Lac Noir Festival - they came to f**k shit up and have a good time, and a good time was had!
Looking forward to the new album.

It arrived! And it's glorious. Silver embossing and silver page edges... The three book covers combine to a single painting (the back of the referee screen sports the same view)... And the art - it just perfectly conveys setting and tone, on a very visceral level... Very happy to have backed this project.

@HeyeBodo "Some have described it as Jane Austen's STALKER. Or perhaps Blackadder vs The Witcher." (from the itch page of the game). Basically, players are monster hunters in a cursed corner of 18th century England. But it's all slightly... grotesque... weird... and charmingly British. So not grimdark horror. The ruleset is based on Forged in the Dark. I backed the KS, mostly for the theme, the setting, and because it's co-written by @rossignol

@kensanata I'm all for dangerous combat as well. Into the Odd and the games inspired by it (Mausritter, Cairn) do it well: Getting killed by taking a single hit is possible, even against ordinary opponents, being taken out of the fight in the first round is not unlikely. Fights are resolved quickly and players will think twice whether they are worth the risk - win-win.

@DidgeAndDragons Ich mag den Black Sword Hack generell sehr - die Neuauflage ist ausgezeichnet gelungen und in vielerlei Hinsicht eine Verbesserung. Und wie Stufenaufstiege da gehandhabt werden, sagt mir auch sehr zu, aus ganz ähnlichen Gründen wie dir.

Passend zum verlängerten Pfingstwochenende kam gestern spannende Lektüre an - Abenteuer für #Troika! und #Mothership sowie ein systemunabhängiges, äusserst stimmungsvolles Grimoire (The Book of Gaub).

@HeyeBodo Ah, freut mich, dass du am Podcast auch gefallen findest.

Habe nun Demon... geleitet und es war zwar spassig (die Zufallstabellen für NPCs und Events an der Party geben ordentlich was her, es entsteht auch unterhaltsames Chaos), aber doch auch sehr harsch. Nachdem die nightmare phase begonnen hatte, dauerte es vielleicht noch 3 oder 4 Runden und dann waren alle SC platt. Wenn ich es nochmal leite, werde ich den SC da mehr Möglichkeiten zur Flucht geben bzw diese erleichtern.

@HeyeBodo Mach ich. Dein Hideous Daylight Bericht hier hat dazu geführt, dass dieses Modul nun auch auf meiner "to play" Liste steht. Und Wyvern Songs hab ich als pdf - hast du die pod-Version? Wenn ja, wie ist sie?
