@drdrowland I think thatβs a good point. It also seems to me that we should be putting more emphasis on scientific consensus and reproducibility than on the findings of one study. If researchers rely too much on the findings of one study and these errors build and magnify then there is something wrong about how we understand and use scientific evidence.

Orbitrap or QTOF? While many would expect that Orbitraps perform better because of their higher mass resolution, it turns out that itβs more complicated than that. In many cases QTOFs outperform Orbitraps because of their larger dynamic range. #masspec

The temperature contrast in North America is huge.
Summer-like temperatures smashing heat records in southern USA while northern & western States are under winter storm warnings with entirety of Canada freezing.

Svante Arrhenius was born #OTD in 1859. He's famous for his work on solution chemistry and his eponymous equation linking the temperature of a chemical reaction with its rate: https://www.compoundchem.com/2023/02/19/arrhenius/
We are hiring a postdoctoral scholar in non-targeted analysis to help us find previously unknown chemicals that people are exposed to. The position is at NYU in New York City.
