Tried 5 different embedded protein structure viewers right now, and every single one of them finds a clever way to make full screen use less than a quarter of the actual real estate on the screen. This one tries a popup unresizeable window. Last one decided that half of the monitor should be for their controls wrapping the controls that are already built into the viewer with no way to hide them.. what a waste of pixels...

They call on Microsoft to build better, as there was no standardised way as an app developer to do this. Because Signal is open source, now app developers have a template to protect their users from Windows.

Not sure why but I've never loved #asana. Seems to work for many people but I find it annoying. Right now mainly irritated that the desktop app is stealing the key sequence to increase font size in every browser. And to change the desktop settings you have to go to the browser because .. why?
