@fractals Thanks. i know from reading Joe Coulombe's book, and talking with Doug Rauch, who worked there for 30 years (the last 14 as president) that the store works to be very directly connected to customers and suppliers, especially being at the mercies of the latter. I checked with other TJ branches, and the Fiber is gone everywhere. For now, anyway. As for the desert, like too many things, it interests me. But I've photographed deserts (mostly from above) far more than I've visited them.

@leo fwiw, I follow >5000 entities (mostly human) on Twitter, and don't experience hell, I suppose mostly because I avoid politics there. Not that I think it's ideal. More that I'm pretty much of the same mind as David Weinberger (who probably has a handle here that I don't know) here:
