This week we taught a pilot workshop in Natural Language Processing . We are very happy with the constructive feedback we received:
- "Excellent workshop. The instructors were enthusiastic and able to make the complicated concepts digestible."
- "The work flow with short instruction and exercises is very useful. I think the workshop could be a bit more tailored to specific audiences."
- "Keep innovating as you are doing!"
We will be offering the workshop in 2026. We'll keep you posted!
It's been a busy November at the eScience Center! A month filled with seminars, conferences and workshops and the eScience Center was very busy gathering and disseminating knowledge. In our November Roundup we share just a few of the interesting events organised in the research software community.

National Research Software Day 2025 was a great success, thanks to the professional organisation by TU Delft and NL-RSE and, of course, the funding provided by TU Delft, LCRDM and Open Science NL. There was substantial input from the eScience Center, and we took home many insights and much inspiration โ not to mention a 2000 euro prize to develop a new training!

At the eScience Center we pride ourselves on sharing stories about our work and our projects. We sometimes need a little push to get started, especially when you have a lot of ideas in you head. RSE @pabrod has just the scheme to remove that writers block.

National Research Software Day was a succes in itself, but a memorable day for Fenne Riemslagh: she won the TDCC-NES funding for starting-up soft skill training in 2026. We will share more about the details of her plan next year!
@jspijker Thank you and thank you for joining!
Some quotes from our Research Software Support Training:
๐ธ "The introduction of the software management plan (SMP) tool. This will be helpful in supporting researchers"
๐ธ "The thought provoking discussions, and role playing grumpy researchers who do not want to fill in an SMP"
๐ธ"Difference between research software vs. software used in research. Licensing. Distribution. Version control"
