@zombiecide Yeah, at some point there’s no amount of defensive precision that can prevent a bad faith actor from co-option and making hash of a phrase.

@tillshadeisgone (I grew up in the religious right, where cultivated grievance is intense and pervasive, so I had to spend a lot of my life picking through those kinds of distinctions to make sense of anything; My assumption is that any statement of principle will be warped in bad faith, so it’s not just about this particular issue…)

@tillshadeisgone i think the answer is “yes,” but as a matter of ethics and rhetoric we have to carefully articulate what we consider “oppression,” or the frame becomes a license for dominant groups to preserve their place with violence. I suppose that’s a separate, parallel discussion about the need for the populace to get more than buzzwords

there is enough everything to feed, clothe, house, heal, educate, employ and even “start up” not just every human, but generations to come.

the problem are the .1% who don’t want that to happen.

those are the people who make money blocking universal health care and forcing us into insurance companies that are nothing but eugenics-as-a-service.

that’s why when CEOs get shot, nobody bats an eye.
