I’m hyped about the MacBook Neo because I think of teenage-me scraping by with old computers when I started out. Something new for $250ish in ‘90s money would’ve been phenomenal and easily within reach mowing some lawns or something of the sort,

(I know wages and such have distorted things a bit, but it’s a well-made, capable computer that is definitely in impulse-purchase territory and I think that’s really nice.)

A.I. musicians are COOKED. I just recorded an ENTIRE SONG using nothing but my instruments and a few microphones. This would have cost upwards of hundreds of dollars in expensive A.I. subscription fees but for me it was completely FREE. Don't get left behind. This is the future!

Sorry for the radio silence! Back in January, I was wondering if I still wanted to run the site and post as much with so much corporate sports media moving in to cover the #NWSL, it started to feel like shouting into the void.

@rowan_johnson I’ve seen so many negative comments elsewhere and all my Mastodon follows have been as excited as I have been! While I miss some things about the original series, this season is a nice check-in with the characters!

@morrick It sounds like the USB-C port issue is a limitation of the A18 Pro SoC—this is the only for-sale A-series device (DTK aside) with multiple USB ports, so I wonder if they did something weird to split the bus?

Personally, I'd rather have 1 1/2 ports instead of a single one since you can at least charge with something else plugged in. Maybe when it gets refreshed, a future A-series SoC will have support?

Not defending it, just curious why they didn't go with a binned M3 or M4 instead?

@bbech @bigzaphod Oh yeah, I remember that fight when it aired! (Funny how they threw “Med School” on the opening credits as a way to push back just a little.) I think in some ways, a spinoff series today would’ve been done without any issue, but the late-2000s seemed more concerned with long syndication as the model.

Having watched it, I really don’t remember much, other than JD narrating that they tore down Sacred Heart to build the new hospital and it sharing some of the set as Cougar Town!

@bigzaphod I did! If you watch it with the expectation that it’s playing to the existing fans that know all the jokes and backstory, it’s enjoyable as a check-in on these characters 16 years later. On the first two episodes, some things didn’t land quite the best, but I’ll be tuning in next week.

I finally received this eBay purchase—an “Apple” leather case for my iPhone 15. It almost mimics the one I had for my 12 mini, although the side buttons are just a tad thinner, there’s a ridge around the camera cutout, the MagSafe ring inside isn’t semigloss, and when you put it on the phone, the animation typically done for MagSafe Wallets appears instead of a case one. Oh, and it came in what looks like a legit FineWoven case box.

Nonetheless, it feels darn close to what it’s mimicking.
