@lislegaard I'm switching back and forth between MNT Reform and Framework laptops, playing live shows mainly with the latter for performance reasons, as my setup is a bit heavy with lots of VSTs.
Reform is more on the understandable side (open schematics, off the shelf parts); Framework is not open hardware, but it's user-repairable with most parts available through the online store and easily replaceable.
this morning i experienced a device that's kind of a technological marvel, it doesn't use any power (except illumination by external light source) yet just by looking at it for a few minutes it projected intense and vivid imagery into my mind and let me hear scripted voices accompanying the scenery. (i was reading a book)
@igormpc not tested on 40h, but could work :)
you can find it here: https://github.com/artfwo/pymonome-apps
check the pymonome thread on lines for install instructions.
Making music in the terminal with #monome's wonderful meadowphysics sequencer ported to Python using @textualize for the UI. The sound is synthesized by #SurgeXT hosted in #Renoise.
@hansfbaier not in Renoise, as they're LV2 and it only loads LADSPA and VST(3).
@AlgoCompSynth I own Reaper too, but it doesn't work well for this particular use-case (externally controlled live synths and effects), same for Audacity. On Reform I am using Debian SID.
@AlgoCompSynth I don't think Audacity can do live audio processing unfortunately.
Renoise can load LADSPA and VST, but for my live setup I would like to have a few proprietary plugins that don't currently have ARM64 Linux builds.
@josch No, these are the original keys, just spray painted (a layer of Tamiya primer and a layer of matte black). I've also had one leg broken off and stuck in the switch when removing a key.
Playing with Renoise and monomes on the #MNTReform laptop (A311d CPU). The latency seems to be enough for a live setup, but I wish there were more plugins for ARM #Linux systems.
@calisti @cbase no need to sign up, just come by.

@mntmn is it going to be safe to use USB 3.0 devices with the CM4 module installed? (specifically asking about power on the ports)
aalink is a #Python extension for synchronizing code to a beat. It is compatible with #AbletonLink and works with #asyncio event loops. Use it to add rhythm and groove to your code!
Last month at Loophole.
Playing a set tomorrow alongside some seriously cool artists. See you at Loophole Berlin after 7pm!

I've completed this grid build over 10 years ago and have played numerous grids since then, but still feel like I haven't fully explored its possibilities.
