Unpopular opinion: Michael Keaton has been the best Batman. Thoughts?

Technologist with both startup and enterprise leadership experience. Previously Yahoo!, MongoDB, Venmo. Most recently Staff Engineer at the United States Digital Service. I love to teach and have been a Udemy and Youtube instructor since 2014. I also love cooking, photography and learning new technologies.
Socnode.social is my own instance, inspired by a project a bunch of FriendFeeders came up with years ago after we learned that it had been bought by Facebook.

@elijahmanor congrats!! š
As expected, thousands gave #mastodon a quick glance and then went back to the bird site. I for one donāt care about having all my āfriendsā here, but the value and joy I get everyday in this network. Iām waiting for the next surge when Trump starts to tweet again.

Something really funky is going on with my iPhone's icloud authentication -- last night I couldn't buy a movie on AppleTV using my device and had to enter the password. Then I lost all the data in a purchased application and today another purchased application is asking to restore purchases? I do see a pending iOS update, so I'm praying this is the root cause...
@60pencilgirl yes! But the real experts faces when she asks the most ridiculous questions crack me up!! ššš
I will sum up the Republican recap and say goodnight. #SOTU
@urbanfoxe for his advocacy and philanthropic support for global health and AIDS relief initiatives.
President Biden has shown nothing but class to the disrespectful republican house hecklers. His #sotu speech has been one for the ages. I can only wish people realize what an amazing job heās done. But of course, Fox News will twist everything in about an hour. I, for one, hope for four more years.
I was sad that the #Honda Fit was discontinued, and we spent some time researching a good replacement option and finally settled on a #Kia Soul. It has almost everything our beloved Fit had plus a higher profile and a very digital dashboard unexpectedly good at that price range. I drove it today and it felt really solid and perfect for a city car (we drove 8k miles in 3 years on our Fit). Highly recommended!
I had to pause the video twice because I ran out air from laughing so hard. This is one of the best SNL episodes Iāve seen in years

Ah, gotta love malicious compliance.
With so many places having done layoffs lately, I wanted to mention the US Digital Service is hiring. It's a wild place to work, but also you get to work on legitimately meaningful projects that affect a lot of people (in 2022, we made it easier for transgender ppl to get passports, helped low-income families buy food, and I got to help identify disadvantage communities for environmental funding). I'm happy to talk about USDS if you're on the fence. http://ow.ly/LpqJ50LVnPV #fedihire #fedijobs
@oldsfgirl it feels like weāre in an endless carousel, isnāt it?
Iām taking a break for the past few weeks from cable news. I canāt stand hearing more about Santos, McCarthy and Bidenās classified docs with breaking news on another mass shooting. Rewatching sitcoms like āFriendsā and āThat 70ās Showā instead of Maddow, Hayes and Nicole Wallace. #uspolitics
I recently started and cancelled in one day subscriptions to Pluralsight and Egghead because the quality of the content was not there. Found much better content for what I was looking for (TypeScript) in YouTube.
On my spare time I build coding courses. I have them in Udemy, SkillShare and a YouTube channel. In the past year or so, the interest in my courses on paid platforms has gone to almost zero (I would normally make a few hundred per month) and Iām wondering if itās related to the curriculum (mostly Python) or because people are getting more of their learning from free platforms like YouTube.
So many stories of Google employees finding out they were laid off because they couldnāt log-in to their email or badge into the office.
Iāve also been surprised by the seniority and tenure of those laid off. None of that last-in, first-out here.
