I am once again asking German software developers and designers to stop translating "Postleitzahl" to "Zip Code".

No country outside the US, its colonies and military bases has zip codes.

The collective term is "postal code".

@alda most also will switch to M/D/Y date formats; in fact I think 90% of all German hotel websites do this and it’s more than a little annoying.

The poster proof is here and looks good. :) I'll up the number of posters I order so people don't have to steal the advertising posters from the walls again to nab one. Poster tubes are going to be limited still since it's pretty much impossible to store and transport any more tubes at this point unless I want to commission a logistics company.

@thatKomputerKat @AVincentInSpace @aatheus current work they took the actual hot/cold isle approach: front of the racks is fursuit all day, back side is t-shirt and shorts.

Precious workplace where I regularly went to the servers, it was much less extreme and the entire room was “pleasant”, temperature wise.

@praxis it won’t help any, but this is “the current normal” (and it sucks). I have a colleague who wanted/needed to have ADHD evaluated and it took a lot of calling and a lot of “out waiting list is full, please call in 3 weeks at 8:00 exactly”. The good news is that he did eventually get an appointment and then things moved at an acceptable pace.

Tl;dr; this sucks, you are not alone, it’s possible, all the best
