Road trip coming up, so you know what that means.
ROADTRIP PLAYLIST
What are your must-have tunes for long drives?
cleaned up the workspace a bit so I could squeeze in my personal laptop and external cd ripper. I have several box sets to rip to FLAC that automatic-ripping-machine and plex had real trouble with, so I'm firing up Ye Olde XLD.
had a dream last night a professional wrestling bout went bad because they filled the ring with bees but the bees didn't stay in the ring.
Spending an evening with my brand new Meze Classics. In many ways these are the polar opposite of my grado SR80s -- closed not open, wood not plastic, punchy bass not sparkly tops. They're refreshing and exciting to listen to and I promise not to go all audiophile nerd horseshit about it but I really really like them. 🎧
Somehow I have lost an entire cardboard box of random networking flotsam, including a half-dozen raspberry pi from a million years ago. Now I'm wondering if I donated it all and forgot? but that seems unlikely because I never would have done that without wiping the sd cards and I know I haven't done that lately.
...what have you done, chili.
most days I don't play Street Fighter II until my thumb is puffy and my neck is sore but then most days aren't days like today so
Just needs a set of googly eyes on the front.

@djsundog @craigmaloney@octodon.social this is great stuff, Craig! Recommended it to my engineers.
@notplaying Harry wishes.
The boys has forgotten that lego was fun so I had to remind them.
Also team-building.
I used to have a lot of feels about cloud vs on-prem.
Be a build/release engineer, they said. You'll add value, they said. (I haven't been a build/release engineer in something like 10 years but this is as true today as it was then.)
@fluffy yeh I actually maintain a blogging site with hugo but with a fair amount of python scaffolding. Not hopeful I could run the whole thing local, but shoving everything up through github and then pulling on the remote box would do. question of whether i'm going to be irritated when I'm writing and/or futzing with the toolset.
@fluffy "lack of proper keyboard integration" oh good, i'll just start gouging out my eyeballs now... :D Most of my vim these days is actually writing, not coding, so it might work out though. thanks for the perspective!
Am I crazy to be considering an ipad pro/air with working copy, blink/mosh and libterm or a-shell for occasional vim/python hacking?
There's something very windows 3.1 screensaver about this mandolin packaging.
