This quilt was made by my grandfather's grandmother. It's probably around 100 years old, give or take 25 years. Sadly I don't know when she made it or which grandmother it was, but I'm happy I've finally found a place to display it.
Due to its age, it's very worn and some parts are delicate, which is why it's not on a bed. I didn't have a place for it in my old apartment, but now I'm happy for it to brighten a wall of my craft room.

Out sick and away from the computer helped my #crocheting this week ....

Another #crochet #wip is now completed. A #gingham style #throw using the #griddle #stitch and carrying the three #colors of #yarn along.

Super easy stitch although this pattern does, slightly, show the yarn being carried. Great pattern to work on when binge watching TV.

I might add another row or two on the border. 🤔

Howdy #fiberarts and #crafting folks. I have a question about repairing a knitted item. I bought this knitted long cardigan a long time ago and after time, the collar is separating from the body of the garment because it used to hang up on the hook of a coat rack. What is the best way for me--a basic hand sewer who does not have access to my yarn stash or my knitting tools--to fix this?
