Passing. #Leica M Monochrom
Two young men pass each other on the stairs, one staring out into space and the other jogging up stairs at speed.
Thanks! I really love the textures I seem to get from shooting with this Monochrom.
Shoe pole. #Leica M Monochrom TTartisan 50mm
Several old shoes, nailed to a telegraph pole along the side of a road, shot on digital in B&W.
After the rain. #Leica M Monochrom TTartisan 50mm
A shallow focus digital B&W shot of a bush, with rain visible on the leaves, stretching out to the lightly out of focus background.
Passing. #Fujifilm X-T50
A photo from one train passing another late at night. The shot is in washed out colour and shows the only woman visible in the carriage, glancing across into the other train. Reflected in the window is the photographer, a woman with red hair looking through the viewfinder of the camera.
Inner West. Argus A2B (1939), somehow still working. #35mmFilm
A very old looking photo, despite being brand new, from a 1939 camera. A plane flies over some terrace shop fronts.
Long term parking. #Leica M Monochrom
A Volvo station wagon parked in the edge of some shade, absolutely covered in leaves. It is just touched by the sunlight and the rest of the shot spills into darkness.
Bike. #Leica M Monochrom
Black and white shot of a bike parked by some street art the back of an abandoned lot. In the distance some new apartment complexes are visible.
Industrial nomads. #Leica M Monochrom
Black and white shot of two guys figuring out how to get where there going. Tons of street art dots the light industrial buildings near them. They stand in sunlight.
Well it's a lot more crisp than I've ever gotten home-developing film, even very fine grained. But that's partly the quality of my scanner, I'm sure.

Honestly, I love using it. There's a detail that's almost surreal in some shots. I also like that I'm never second-guessing myself on shooting something digital or B&W - I have no choice.

For a ten year old camera, it's also surprisingly good at low light. Without the colour layer, its base ISO is 320 and it goes pretty high. 24 megapixels too, which is very good indeed even if I wanted to do some prints.
Shopping. #Leica M4-P, 1953 Summaron 3.5cm 1:3.5, Ilford HP5+ 400 pushed to 1600 #35mm #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm
A grainy B&W photo of several people walking through the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney. The shot is very close to straight down, and the people are walking by a fashion store display window.
Escalator Crossing. #Leica M4-P, 1953 Summaron 3.5cm 1:3.5, Ilford HP5+ 400 pushed to 1600 #35mm #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm
A grainy B&W photo of two single-width escalators in the Queen Victoria Building crossing each other. They are reflective on the sides, showing more of the building. A man is on one of the escalators, holding a DJI camera or similar as he rides the escalator.
QVB. #Leica M4-P, 1953 Summaron 3.5cm 1:3.5, Ilford HP5+ 400 pushed to 1600 #35mm #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm
A grainy B&W wide shot of the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, Australia. The shot is from the top of the building, looking down at about 45 degrees. People walk about the various stores, storefronts and signage just visible in the sides. A clock looms over it all.
City. #Leica M4-P, 1953 Summaron 3.5cm 1:3.5, Ilford HP5+ 400 pushed to 1600 #35mm #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm
A low angle, wide B&W shot looking up over several increasingly tall buildings in the middle of Sydney. A crane and various antennae / mobile reception towers dot the top of the frame.
Newtown in the Rain. #Canon Sure Shot Zoom XL #FilmPhotography #Ilford HP5+
B&W photo of a woman crossing the road on a rainy day in Sydney. Signs litter the image, most at off angles. The woman is hunched over as she walks into the shelter, avoiding the rain.
