This haze in the French alps is apparently due to forest fires. In Canada 🍁 🔥
Front-end web developer. Misses the innocent web.
Married white CisHet man in my 40s with two wonderful children. Anti-fascist, anti-rasist, feminist, sosialist, parent, and climate crisis worrier.
Originally a city boy from Norway, have lived in various countries throughout my life, but am now in a small French alps village. Ended up in this place because of my love for snowboarding, nature and mountains.

Different project, but in the same genre. When I said yes to do this #accessibility audit, I never thought it'd be this huge. I'm at 6500 words, and there is still heaps left.
@rcr Yes, I think it rained a fair bit in the mountains.
Enjoy writing fiction in Markdown, and prefer keeping ownership of your files in the filesystem, but still want beautiful ePub3 ebooks and paperback output? Your uncle Matt feels the same way!
I created a configuration and example project for pandoc, the fab #FOSS markup converter, to produce beautiful novels from your folders full of Markdown files. Lots of booky, novel-y, typographical/layout niceness. I'll be using this with #emacs. 💜

Today I noticed something new. Walking home from the office along the Aare river in #Bern the water was blue, as water usually is. I popped into my camper to pick up my book and walked down to the park again. Now the river was brown!
I’ve seen it brown before, but I had no idea it could switch so fast.
Gratulerer med dagen! 🇳🇴 #17mai
It’s incredible how a working dishwasher can make me this happy.
>> We all said „we‘ll come!“ and so it happened that 15 adults went to a 16th birthday party.
We coordinated in another channel that she did not know that we bought presents, made cake and planned games. And of course a cake fight.
The day came. Several cars arrived at the house and Metall heads, Goths and Punks arrived at „the venue“ :D >>
Hi everyone! 👋 We still see people on the fediverse recommending OpenOffice, despite it having year-old unfixed security issues: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_OpenOffice#Security – So if you see someone recommending it, please inform them about the risks – but also that there are actively maintained successor projects (like LibreOffice). #foss #OpenSource
Chilling at the doctors waiting room. The place is full of injured skiers! Yesterday it was 1 meter of new snow. Today is the first day of holidays. It’s hot and the snow has turned into kneedeep cement. This is the result.
First day of holidays today. Such a weird feeling. "Luckily" I have to taxes, so I'll be stuck on the computer for most of the day anyway.
Figma's sticky notes are to small for German words.
@AnthonyBaker Followed!
Who has two thumbs and spent 45 minutes on #duolingo because he wanted some gamification score? This guy!
I gotta say, this whole 1 hour extra daylight has me more affected than usual. Probably because I’m in the camper. And when I am, my routine usually follows the daylight.
I guess videoing with my family for over an hour didn’t help either.
Ops. I better eat some dinner. #21:45
Starting the workday with merging 3 approved merge requests. That's pretty nice. And next I've got a massage lined up. Which will be pretty good considering how sore my legs are from yesterdays running. #webdev
