Stupid question about the Fediverse -- if I create a centralized service, but let others download and run their own instances, just making sure they can pass data between them -- have I basically cloned what #activitypub does?

I thought of the ultimate fitness lifehack. Save a month's worth of PTO days then go on vacation. Prior to vacation, apply for seasonal work at an Amazon Fulfillment Center. Work there for the month, earning extra income while walking like 25 miles a day.

If you use the virtual KVM software Barrier¹ on Windows and your "monitors" can't connect:

On the server, go to SysTray and open the Barrier context menu. Select "Show Log". If you see a steady stream of "ERROR: ipc connection error, connection refused" it means the service is stopped.

Run `Start-Service Barrier` in Powershell as (Admin). Confirm it's running with `Get-Service Barrier`.

Thanks, I looked up the bomb attacks on Wikipedia and most were referring to grenades surprisingly. One city had 30 grenade explosions in August 2015. This is mostly attributed to organized crime extorting restaurants and businesses.

I'm more surprised that Sweden apparently has so much organized crime. What kind of organized crime is it? Gangs run by Swedes? Traditional mafia, what?

Hey remember when NPR, MSNBC, and the like kept pushing the line that undocumented immigrants actually pay more in taxes than the average American? So why all the hubabaloo over not letting people immigrate to the US if they're just going to come here and be on public assistance?

So often when I'm filling out my time card, I'm shocked to realize I only got one or two things accomplished in 8 hours. The real problem is my entire day was spent trying to focus on a specific set of tasks while constantly being interrupted with questions that seemingly only I can answer. It's like I appreciate the confidence sometimes, but come on. It's mentally exhausting. #firstworldproblems I suppose. 🤷‍♂️
