Nach KI kommt jetzt auch noch Werbung in die App. Noch moderat, aber bald „Noch 5 Sekunden bis du die Nachricht von Claudia lesen kannst … 4 … „?

WhatsApp führt Werbung ein. Was einst als »niemals« galt, fällt dem Profitstreben zum Opfer. Nach der Überwachung nun auch die Dauerbespielung mit Konsumreizen. Nutzer werden vollständig verwertet: als Datenquelle, als Zielgruppe, als Ware. Ein Messenger im Dienst der Kontrolle – nicht der Kommunikation. Zum Glück gibt es bessere Alternativen. 👇

Sie haben untersucht, warum es in Wallonien, anders als in nördlichen Flandern, keine starke rechtsextreme Partei gibt. Dabei haben Sie festgestellt, dass das auch am medialen Umgang liegt. Was machen Journalisten dort anders?

Wallonien ist ein Sonderfall. Dort gibt es einen perfekten Nährboden für die extreme Rechte, die Arbeitslosenquote war im Jahr 2020 beispielsweise doppelt so hoch wie in Flandern. Und trotz dieses Nährbodens konnte die extreme Rechte dort bislang nicht Fuß fassen, weil man einen sogenannten „Cordon sanitaire“, eine Art mediale und politische Brandmauer, geschaffen hat.

Jeder Kanton gibt ungefähr bis 5 Millionen Franken pro Jahr für Microsoft-Lizenzen aus (M365 Cloud). Und verpflichtet sich auf 5 Jahre. Macht mindestens 25 Mio CHF.

Stell Dir mal vor, rechnen wir das mal hoch für alle 26 Kantone. Macht 650 Millionen Franken...

die Microsoft nun mit diesen Verträgen erhält.

Mit dieser Summe hätte man in den letzten Jahren besser ordentliche, souveräne und benutzerfreundliche IT-Infrastruktur gebaut, die von allen Kantonen und Gemeinden mit gutem Gewissen genutzt werden kann.

EDIT: die Zahl 5 Mio ist bei sehr bevölkerungsreichen Kantonen...und 650 Mio wohl zu hoch geschätzt. Aber auch schon bei realistischeren 400 Mio. wäre das genügend.
