@SydneyJim: The owner of the bar at Cupecoy Beach, and as far as I can tell, the groundskeeper for the whole area. He has the keys to the cables that control access to the parking areas by the beach. He's been there for at least as long as I've been going to Sint Maarten (since 1996). Cupecoy is where I discovered the joys of nudism and skinny dipping.

@SydneyJim: It is! Lots of sand and very few people. Apparently most visitors think Cupecoy is only the small section of the beach on the western end, where Dany Isaac has his bar. That section hasn't had much sand to speak of for years.
