This is helpful. Odd decision to crop to 16x9 by default.
Is it the norm with Mastodon that photos are cropped in the timeline? Are there conventions for posting photos to prevent cropping?
@greeblehaus And Party Weekend by Joe "King" Carrasco and the Crowns!
@greeblehaus I miss Annapolis. What a great town. Especially miss the old WHFS … Weasel, Bob Here …
@greeblehaus I lived in Baltimore three different times! Everywhere from Union Square to Fells Point. Also lived in Salisbury for a while, working for Perdue Farms in their print shop … and for the Daily Times.
Bitfactory Gallery's "No Show" 2023 group exhibition in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe ends this week. I was fortunate enough to have these three photographs selected for inclusion. The images are from my book "People On Pearl." A reprint is coming soon.

From 2009, a spot for reading and thinking. Probably shot with an Olympus E-500. Probably in Baltimore. I've lived in so many houses and apartments … it's sometimes difficult to know one from another.
What to do?
Should I post a wide variety of content to a single Mastodon account?
Or is it better to have multiple accounts (on different servers?) which focus on specific interests?
@atomicpoet She was a goddess her entire life. Still is.
@atomicpoet …The Spot in DC…
@atomicpoet Perhaps it's this: "The early Christian church authorities were the first to approve them as a sign of commitment to marriage…Once the ring was consecrated as the essence of the marriage bond, it came to signify not just a simple expression of love, but a stamp of ownership. Even the act of sliding a ring onto a perfectly shaped finger is a sexually charged statement of possession: the possession by a man of a woman."

@lilithmooncohen@tech.lgbt Hello! I am also in Denver. Happy to "meet" you.
I worked in tech for a while (Apple) after decades in graphic design. I'm presently spending my time promoting the arts and artists in Denver, primarily in the Art District on Santa Fe.
Art-wise, photography is my thing.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd say hello … and Happy Mother's Day!
The very first framed and matted photographic print I ever sold.
This iconic Baltimore sign is gone now.
@iamschulz So true. This actually works better than if "perfectly composed." Love it!
