@jaanus this threw me through a loop also, so here is my understanding of it.

The database stores all of this instance's users' information and also the users that they follow. So if users follow a lot of people that number grows.

We also don't delete content from other servers once it touches our server because that would break DMs or links to older content.

It's June 5th and the masto.host subscription renewed so time to do a server stats update.

- Active users: 341
- New users in the last month: 35 new users 🎉
- Database storage: 36.04 GB / 40 GB
- Media storage: 122.28 GB / 400 GB
