@GrapheneOS I would 100% buy a phone from an OEM you recommend or device you produce, it's why I switched to pixel to begin with. I really hope there's enough of a market, I recommend pixel and grapheneos to everyone already

@bruces I'm happy to toss in for her newsletter. Such a shining star in this mess
@likelyjanlukas @ElwoodCity I moved to gaffer tape for most things. Very strong yet easy to remove without residue. Not that it'd matter much for this application probably
Heading into #wildfire season, found out about this cheap and effective method of DIY air filtering - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corsi%E2%80%93Rosenthal_Box - gonna give it a try. #smoke sucks
@breadandcircuses seems like degrowth is inevitable. One way can be controlled and minimize suffering, the other will be a slow large scale catastrophe with pockets of rapid collapse
Voyager 1 and 2 were designed for a 5 year mission. ("Its five year mission"? Hmm.) But both probes have been kept operational since 1977, almost half a century -- an order of magnitude longer than planned. Meanwhile, our consumer electronics products are lucky to make it operationally through a 90 day warranty.
For a half century now, Republicans a) pretend to care about deficits when Dems are in power, as a pretext to cut spending, & b) massively grow deficits when they are in power, via tax cuts for the rich.

Very early #OnThisDay, 30 April 1944, New Zealander Nancy Wake parachutes into occupied France to be a courier for the Special Operations Executive. The British SOE supported French Resistance to Nazi occupation.
Nick-named 'the white mouse' by the Gestapo, she is never captured. She died in 2011.

- Mass deportations without trials
- Extrajudicial imprisonment in foreign concentration camps.
- National registry of autistic people, who are declared "nonproductive"

@a1batross.bsky.social he was impeached twice last term. Removal requires gop to play along, sadly
Holy shit the details of this story about #DOGE taking over the #NLRB's systems are nuts.
1. Demanded full control of NLRB's #Azure cloud
2. Disabled logs and network monitoring
3. MFA turned off
4. Russian login attempts with valid (new) credentials
5. 10 GB exfiltrated from #NxGen, the NLRB's legal case database

@ohnoitsnoah I've been using it since the 90s. Simple, stable, works great. Always end up going back somehow
