1/2: The title of "Massive Elves" comes from "Mass Ave. elves". "Elves" has been my personal slang for Berklee students since I realized that "Berklee" is an anagram for "Keebler". The piece was created by converting "Berklee" to a tone row using the musical cryptography that I developed for An Equal Sea.
"Massive Elves" consists of four sections, each subsequent section using an algorithmic variation on the initial interpretation of "Berklee" using a secondary array to reorder the pitches.
A week ago, I came across a sketch that I barely remember writing almost four years ago at the Copley Square Library in Boston, a great place for laptop composers to work if you have a good set of headphones.
Instead of working on “Zappacrite” on the 1st day of Zappadan, I began work on a piece with the working title of “Copley Square Dance”. The current revision can be heard as a bonus track on Apostolatus.

Finally managed to sneak in a few breaks from the real world to revise "Zappacrite" for the first time in over a year. Still far from finished but I managed to add an extra minute to the fourth movement, "Errs a Parent".
