September in the US is Hispanic Heritage Month. It's a time for celebration but also a time when we’re flooded with graphics that stereotype and reduce the complexity and diversity of our Latin American culture and identity to a caricature.
It’s not often that you see pieces in the news about type and even less common to read pieces that call for a more critical and thoughtful approach toward design.
