Okay we're on 4 days straight of 100's of people playing Delia: The Traveling Witch (up from maybe a couple dozen plays a day). Anyone know what's going on??
Every once and a while I wake up to like 100's of new plays and downloads on Delia: The Traveling Witch but I can never find out why. A streamer? A game dev team for gameboy? A random youtube video? I love it but am always so confused.

Surely there's ways I can talk about it all without getting into other's stories, it's just that we were all pretty involved back then, as when I was hired there weren't even maybe more than 8 people on team, with all of us constantly talking and figuring how to survive, compared to when I left when there was probably close to 20 with some in depth hierarchy systems.

My biggest issue is that my knowledge of Pixel Sprout and its evils goes a little beyond that of "we aren't credited" but a lot regarding the large amount of people involved with years of Sun Haven production who left to get away. It's not to say we all told each other "we won't say anything" but me sharing my experiences bleeds into theirs, and I don't know if they want to be put in the spotlight, or really even think about all this.
I'm hesitant to really get into it because a lot of it also affects people who left wanting to escape it all, and me saying everything I know and experienced can betray that.
There was a LOT wrong with Pixel Sprout's pay, leadership, and values, to a staggering, pretty much comical degree.
I've considered over the years making some sort of document or doing interviews about my own and other's experience, but there's a bit of futility in my mind regarding it all. I'm glad there's people speaking out about it. It's hard.

This isn't an isolated incident, and I expect no matter how much this blows up, the company has made lots of money, has lots of avid fans, and has already done the hardest part: built the bones of a game off the broken backs of talented, underpaid, uncredited people.

I had the title "Senior Technical Artist" at Pixel Sprout Studios. I animated a lot of assets, as well as made the customization system for clothing and races in Sun Haven.
I worked for Pixel Sprout for years and left before 1.0 for many reasons. I am not credited.
