For those of you on mobile (and desktop) who find it difficult to write alt text for images you upload, I’ve built a simple website to do it for you.

It’s very basic right now, but it uses Google’s Gemini AI to write the alt text for images you upload.

I have been a collector of old radio programs for many years. I have been looking for a series that I lost many years ago that I believe was recorded by the BBC. It is a science fiction program about an invasion from another planet. As I recall, the invaders were able to control peoples minds and caused him to accept the invasion. I heard this series many years ago. When the earthlings were possessed, they would do a monologue saying welcome to our friends. Welcome to our friends. I never did get to hear all of the series. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about question

I usually don't like mixing the flag and scripture, but in this case I'll do it. You want Christian nationalism? Then read your bible and practice it.

This sign was a hit btw. A lot of people asked to take a photo of it. I like to think that I taught more of the Bible today outside the church than I have in a while.

@technolass that is an interesting question. AI doesn’t always get gender right under normal circumstances, depending on what it sees. I have been called a young child, or a boy, and I am neither.

We now have a political assassin impersonating a police officer on the loose in Minnesota, which, aside from being horrifying in and of itself, underscores the danger of the proliferation of anonymous federal law enforcement deployments from a wide variety of unfamiliar agencies conducting aggressive immigration operations across the country.

Is that uniformed person who's stopping you or demanding entry to your home legit or a psychotic vigilante seeking to harm you? It's impossible to know.

Good #Saturday morning, Mastodonians. We will be in the mid 80s again today, and may even get some clouds later this afternoon, so I have no complaints about the weather. We all slept in late this morning, so our morning relaxation time may be shorter before we have to get out and walk and work out and do our normal stuff. I have mass today, but other than that, the day is free, so it should be fun. I hope it is a good day for everyone.

This incident in LA at a Disciples of Christ church is another reminder that this is a real possibility. To be clear, this arrest/abduction was not during a service and the man who was arrested/abducted was not a member of the congregation. But it was on church property.

@badbede this is really scary, because anyone could put on a mask and a uniform and grab anyone, refusing to identify themselves.

@Pawpower does he have no respect for your regular vet, who is apparently his colleague? Can you have your regular vet talk to him and tell him to lay off? I’m sorry you had to deal with all that, but glad she got medicine, and hope it helps.

so yesterday, yet again, I got refused an Uber because of my guide dog. I phoned Uber support to report my access refusal and the customer service agent actually told me I should have ordered an Uber pet after I told them multiple times my dog is a registered service animal. So its not just the drivers now, its customer service too. I did finally get through to someone who knew the law to start the correct procedures, but the situation is just getting worse.

@Bruce that is so cool! And she probably didn’t know she was doing anything to make your day. She was just being who she was.
