@N2DYI When I had one what I did to get it working was to put my hotspot into the world section of the radio repeater list and then selected that as my repeater to use. After this i just use the dtmf keypad to change reflectors.

@N2DYI That's because cell phones rule the world in NY. Most people live in a land locked apartment building. Yes I was completely generalizing for what its worth.
@NO5IG Ah, I wish I had my rig hooked up right now. I've got 49 in my log. Just need AK. Not really sure where I'm at officially, but that's not what really counts to me right now.
@KC8JC The issue I have is that I want to use the same e-mail address I signed up with.
How would I change my mastodon username to my call sign?
@ve5ndk The only way I know of to do this would be to have a different config file to upload into the radio if your radio supports something like this
Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing the creator of Mastodon, Eugen Rochko (@Gargron). We talked about how crazy the past few weeks have been, why the site was built to resist the kind of takeover that Twitter has seen, and what he makes of Elon's tweet poking fun at Mastodon: https://www.wired.com/story/the-man-behind-mastodon-eugen-rochko-built-it-for-this-moment/

@vk2gpu Ok, will look into this. What is the suggested practice? should I have one Mastodon account for amateur radio activities and then another omewhere else for all others so that the entire world doesn't have access to my home address?
Is there a way I can change my username to my call sign or will I need to create a new account?
@vk6flab Great to see you here? Are you the same guy who runs a podcast?
# introductions I enjoy ham radio. Cw is my favorite moe.
Test from Windows client.
