I inherited an original Fisher space pen from my dad. And yes, it still works. And yes, you can still get refills. And no, I do not use it. It's on display in my knick-knack museum.
(Instead I buy refills and put them in a modern cheaper pen. There are use cases when I don't want to miss out.)

Heh. In our city we have traffic problems in summer because of construction work and traffic problems in winter because of the weather. With major overlap scenes in spring and fall.

And ... I just unsubscribed from another channel which overlaid a factual topic line (camping) with political statements (but "I won't do politics here and I won't discuss") that have either been proven to be wrong by many or which I disagree with strongly. That in a tone which suggests deep convictions.

Oh, from my mom, too. Gran was mom's mom.
Thing with my gran was - she *gave* it to me long before she died, so she could see how delighted I was. (Category: special stories).
Same with my mom. And there are only very few items I took after she died.
I own and use kitchen items my grandmother gave me when I moved into my first flat in the last millenium. Meaning those items are older than I am - and they are still working. Thanks, Gran.
Uplifting to have a look at them on days when I feel down, old and wasted.
(Btw - my favourite fountain pen in use is older than I am, too. But that one I bought myself.)
It's somewhat remarkable to see how often in history a situation where people, real persons, are getting off worse and worse persisted over a long time before legislation put some (hopefully) ease to it. Lots of misery by the wayside.
Some may see it as a sign of hope in dire situation, some may see it as a call for a just fight with a chance for success. And some may see it as a fundamental flaw in the general homo sapiens societal system basics ... rise/repeat, rinse/repeat.
So right.
But like with a lighthouse in a storm, the light needs to be kept burning for all those ships and sailors out there.
(I'm sure one can say this more bluntly without all that fluff ... just felt like it. 😁 )
