As I just responded to someone below, I'm not particularly interested in all the reasons "this will never happen". (Edit to ad: "This" referring to a future Nuremberg-style tribunal for human rights violations under Trump, both in actuality and as a current threat for reasons below.)
Nothing ever happens until someone starts saying it should. And part of the value in saying it should right now is that it gets people thinking and can help change the narrative around what is happening. It's absolutely important that we not be in full reactive mode all the time, that we start figuring out ways to change the story.
So before you start detailing all the practical reasons why something like this wouldn't happen, start asking yourself what is the value of making it part of a national conversation? Or any other idea, for that matter.
