Coming back from a weekend at #sigtunastiftelsen I read this article in their new Magasine and I can only concord with Bengt Kristensson Uggla on the fact that #Sigtuna is a truly #enchanted place where encounters that make us grow as humans has a solid foundation in the architecture and culture. Grateful for Kristna I Akademigatan who organized this retreat on theme of #flourishing

In many ways, moving to the #archipelago of the #ÅlandIslands was not what I expected. In many ways, there’s been struggles and sorrow. In many more ways, I have just been overwhelmed by the deep sense of connection! It is as if everything has been prepared. All along, this life has been here waiting for me, with goodness of the kind I didn’t know I could even ask for. So many patterns weaved together in this intricate fabric of #life where past, present and future intersect.

One of the things I love with living on the island is the commuting!
I am still to bike to the ferry, however, I did an excursion to the main village yesterday which I hope can become a weekly practice later in spring.
Once it is time to leave, the ferries to the mainland(s) are very simple & this is what is so wonderful. We all treat the space as our own living rooms — some work, others watch TV - and in the morning hours the lights are kept dim so that anyone who wants can sleep!

Taking the lead of #monasticmaumoses for the importance of rest, I opened the #hammock season yesterday!
Soon to be two years into my journey of playing with #humandesign I have learnt that it truly is so that I get much more done, the more I #rest #rejuvenate and #recharge my batteries on a very continuous basis! This is also why moving to the island has been the best choice EVER! in the #silence and #stillness I am remade.#catsofmastodon

One of the reasons I love working at #aboakademi is the small scale of this place.
Walking along #biskopsgatan from my office to a local café I met the professor with whom I have a doctoral student, after she had been to faculty meeting, the dean, on his way to dinner and finally, at my destination, an associate professor from the other faculty, with whom we are planning a joint application. All these lovely faces on a 5 minutes strip of wet greyness and my heart leaps for Joy! #blessed
