PSA: 10 days until bytetower.social shuts down!

My current Mastodon instance shuts down on the 15th. :'( It also hosts a gotosocial instance (journals.bytetower.social) which I didn't realize was a social and not a fedi blog, so I put in an application for a mastoart.social account.

So I'm not sure where I'll end up. If this instance is still up by the time I decide, I'll let y'all know and try to migrate. If not, I'll put a link on Sheezy for anyone following me who wants to continue doing so: https://sheezy.art/linebyline/

The somewhat mild reputation of the NAACP works in our favor on this one. They have a pretty positive reputation even among moderates. Takes a lot to make them angry.

@annyr Not an ellipse. Think of it this way: A *square* in perspective is not represented as a rectangle, but as a trapezoid (assuming one set of edges is still parallel to the picture plane). But the center of the square is closer to the edge of the trapezoid closer to the vanishing point.

You can inscribe a circle in a square. If you then put this square in perspective, the shared center point is *still* going to be closer to the VP.

An ellipse would be akin to the rectangle.

Open Your Heart vs. Live and Lean is kind of like Adventure 1 vs. Adventure 2 in general. The latter is more polished and, probably, a little better overall, but at the expense of being a little safer and less ambitious, and thus a little less interesting.

They both rock hard, though. No reason to pit two bad buttrocks against each other.

(Besides, neither is as good as What I'm Made Of. fight me.)

Spent an hour chasing down errors when trying to install Debian. First, got the security violation error. Disabled secure boot and then it hung at "Welcome to Grub!" And the best advice I could get from searching the Web was try a different operating system, edit grub config files…somewhere, or grab the Debian source code and rewrite it myself. Sure.

Problem turned out to be the USB drive I was using as install media. Same iso on a different drive worked fine.
