I'm confused. I've just been given my first ever Mastodon warning, and had my post about the weird "null" strings in the Coles app deleted because it "may violate one or more community guidelines"

I really don't understand how, and it would be helpful to be given an actual clear reason so that I don't inadvertently offend or upset someone again in the future.

If you're looking for a specific old page on the Australian Bureau of Meteorology site, and it's redirecting to their new site, stick "reg." at the front of the URL.

e.g. Sydney metro forecasts are at reg.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/s; Melbourne radar is at reg.bom.gov.au/products/IDR023

This one! My others are either far too long, or tiny little ones, or the right size but the magnets aren't quite strong enough.
But this one is really nice.

Just had to dislodge an Uber from my driveway. The driver was insisted on staying put until Joanne got in the car. He showed me his app thingy, including Joanne's booking. I have no idea who the hell Joanne is. It probably isn't the duck.

Maybe there's some arrangement like Canberra's port being a few hundred km away, at Jervis Bay ?

Oh, are they back to calling themselves "The Bureau" again? ๐Ÿคฎ

I thought they got humiliated out of proceeding with that?

I'm having the strongest deja vu right now!
About a swimming pool full of coffee with icebergs of icecream floating about. Has this been a Mastodon discussion before??? ๐Ÿคฏ

Article about a Japanese spa offering a pool full of coffee for swimming in. The photo shows three ladies at the edge of a pool full of dark brown liquid.

I'm chuckling at a regular daily swimmer deciding that their favourite treat is affogato ๐Ÿ˜‚
(affogato is Italian for something that you don't want to happen to a swimmer)

If a bunch of engineers said they were on the verge of making an artificial liver, and couldn't find one medical expert to cosign their statement, you'd go "oh they're frauds"

But for some reason a lot of people don't do this when computer scientists say they're going to make artificial intelligence.

Nobody who works with the brain thinks it's going to happen.
