@natematias @abebab I seems, AI conferences look a lot like gaming journalism - if you get critical, you simply won't be asked again to participate.

@eenriquelopez very easy, since I deleted my Amazon account last year :)
@botteaap AI as in artificial innovation?
This is exactly what the internet is for.
This Prime Day, you can save 100% of the cost of anything on Amazon by not buying it!

When you do a company restructuring (again) and the people left to tackle all technical debt and do maintenance are more positive and happy than the people building the new project, you should probably take a step back and reevaluate your approach. Or not if you're out of touch. After all the problem isn't you, it's the people's inability to change their working mode for 4th time in 2 years.
Did I mention that I love Compose?
It's awesome!

The extremely pleasant surprise of a movie, I can't recommend enough F1: The movie. If you're a racing fan or Brad Pitt fan or both you're in for a treat. I loved the story, the character development and of course the amazing racing sequences.
I'm so happy that LLMs and agents are taking over tasks of software developers. I will now finally have more time for truly fun stuff, like cleaning the house and doing the laundry. It's not the innovation we wanted, but it is the innovation we've got. #sarcasm
There is something charming about old cars despite all the impracticality and negative impacts they have. It's probably just a catalytic for nostalgia and memories. Sometimes I wonder if people will look at cars from 2025 in 50 years and feel the same.
@maybeanerd @sakurasubnet next time I talk with an AI booster, I'll ask them to rate my replies with stars and see if they find it weird or just do it lmao
@sakurasubnet have you also noticed IRL people prompting instead of normally talking to you? Like they let you say your thing, then repeat exactly the same thing they said with some changes or asking you to expand on something particular from what you said 😄
Huge respect to Garmin with their customer service.
One of my watch buttons started to feel like it might break soon. So I talked to their customer service and they sent me a free replacement device even though my watch was already 3 years old.
As far as I know. They'll fix the watch I sent them and will resell it as recertified device.
No e-waste and I have a fully functional device again.
A great experience.

This is the heartwarming moment we need right now:
11-year-old Danish kid Jens Fogh made Easter decorations and sold them, thereby raising USD 5300 which he used to buy 270 school backpacks for Ukrainian children. So while in Denmark, Zelenskyy presented him with a medal for his friendship.
A hero meets a hero — I love it! ♥️
Good engineers who care have been keeping systems working despite vibe management with perma restructuring, constant change of bosses and zero experience or hand overs among them. If engineers en masse also start vibing and delegate the task to care and keep things running to the LLMs, I expect more and more systems to collapse.
@mreichelt sounds like the Pixel 4a gate. Where Google released an update that basically rendered my old phone unusable. I think my current pixel will be the last I ever buy. This brand became from an example for an Android device to a money grab.
@MishaalRahman coming soon - Ads in the clock and calculator system apps
