A lot of my fellow teachers will be doing lessons on MLK tomorrow. In the so-called Free State of Florida, much of what Martin Luther King actually said and fought for is illegal to teach. For instance, it's illegal to teach that racism is systemic in The Free State. Dr. King, however, believed exactly the opposite. In essence, teachers are pushed into teaching exactly one sentence King ever said, and only that sentence. Here's a lesson on the rest of the story. mrandosciasclassroom.net/2026/

Teachers in red states may be afraid to teach about The Fed and Monetary Independence. If they are not in red states, they may need a primer because Fed Indepence hasn't been an issue for over half a century. If you are one of these teachers, or know such teachers, please share. open.substack.com/pub/madsocio

I'm not sure how we end up forgetting something as devastating as the files, but we do. They know how to play us. They'll even invade a sovereign nation to make us forget. open.substack.com/pub/madsocio

Yes, what the Orange Don did in is appalling. No, it's not unprecedented. In the history of Presidential abuse of power, it's pretty much Standard Operating Procedure. open.substack.com/pub/madsocio

CBS is already threatening lawsuits to keep this story from being seen. The best way to fight this litigious form of censorship is to make sure that there are as many uploads for this episode as possible. Here's my contribution. open.substack.com/pub/madsocio

The ACA didn't go far enough. But that's no argument for repealing it and going back to the age of pre-existing conditions. Going back is not an option. we should move forward. If not a Medicare for All single payer system, then let's resurrect the Public Option.

If Erika Kirk had just written a heartfelt letter about her murdered husband and asked for a donation, I wouldn't have given it another look. But she didn't. She took it to the next level and promoted some nebulous of evildoers. Now it's not just a plea for support. It's propaganda. And using your loved one's murder to advance propaganda...that may increase the likelihood of violence is just sick. Is it just me? madsociologist.substack.com/p/

Erika Kirk sent my father a letter asking him to support Charlie Kirk's oppressive organization. If my father were alive he would have been appalled. I'm not proud of my first thought when I saw the letter. My second thought is more to the point. Here I share both. open.substack.com/pub/madsocio
