I am glad to have found a ham friendly server to get started on.
As for me. I am active on analog, #DMR, and #P25. A member of the PAPA System (#papasys) in #SoCal so I am on their systems most. I also do some HF work.
I am excited about the #HOIP and #M17 projects. I also do a little photography and travel.
Do you run a digital voice reflector? Make sure you have registered it on DVREF.com.
On May 5 Pi-Star and WPSD are changing. Instead of using static files to maintain a list of hosts for P25 and NXDN, they will get their host lists from DVREF.
YSF will follow on June 1.
@dustinfinn thank you...this will be fun
@dustinfinn I like the case. I'll have to look for one similar.
@vk6flab no, this is one of 12 workstations available to jurors waiting for a court room assignment.
I have jury duty today. They have nice workstations, makes it a little better.
@vk6flab @michaelaf6fb I am doing this with a very small budget. Making it happen regardless.
2025 Dream Project
This year, I aim to live differently by pursuing my desires and stepping out of my comfort zone. Social media will play a role, but my focus is on action and self-awareness. As a maker, amateur radio operator, computer enthusiast, and photographer, my channel will be full of surprises. Subscribe or follow, and let's discover together.
@dennishoward It is a good radio. I know several people with them. This is the only 6m radio I know about, outside of HF radios.
@F4JWJ it gets cold enough. I've been in the suburbs all of my life. The weather seems to be more extreme where I am now.
@F4JWJ I am, Southern California. We are in a rural area and it is interesting to see the wildlife that visits...
Found this guy in the garden today...
Ham radio exam session tonight. Six new Technician Class operators.
I'm involved with another session tomorrow in San Diego.
@ely Yes, that is sad. The only time I hear other nodes is when I turn on MQTT or travel to somewhere else.
No nodes in my area...
@rasterweb @mathiasx I hate Meshtastic...I just can't seem to stop buying nodes... It is great fun...
@abortretryfail If you have an MMDVM repeater (won't work with a hotspot, simplex or duplex) you can enable both analog FM and M17. They won't talk to each other, but they will both work. You should be running WPSD and your board should have >= v1.6.1 firmware.
@K3can Not as such. It is now an Activity Day. The recommendation is to have yourself connected to M17-M17C and announce yourself...have a short QSO...

@KC8JC I like the idea of this. Perhaps, rather than the complex setup mentioned by one of the other responders we would use something simpler like an Echolink or AllStar system. I know it isn't a great solution, but it would address the issue of linking a bunch of nodes together.
If successful there, we can talk about getting other modes tied in later.
@stuartl anytone radios support this, like the D878 and D578. Some commercial radios as well, but they require it to be enabled, usually with a pricey license.
