and then I used the OnionUI toolchain

Probably best to find out what toolchain folks use for the aftermarket OS/UI for your Anbernic and build FujiNet-PC / libretro-atari800 with netsio for your device
@Kroc C64 FujiNet for emulation is not available yet. Right now it only works with Atari and Apple.
For this handheld, I (myself) am only planning to make it work with Atari as its my favorite platform. If someone wants to make it work with other platforms we can help
@tschak Figured out the network device problem, clock was wrong so SSL/TLS certs were failing 😅 Set the time from network before starting FujiNet and it works!

@fozztexx I have no idea. I presume the ROM code is programmed that way. Note, the "official" softSP card must be programmed per slot so it makes sense the DIY Grappler+ version works the same, but I have no idea how to modify the DIY ROM to work in a different slot. The utility for flashing softSP allows one to select a slot but I have no idea if it also applies that to the DIY firmware on disk or if it only flashes the softsP card in the the slot.
@fozztexx @superbenk There is a v5 for Super Serial Card. All the ROMs in this ZIP have been tested working. Grappler+ SoftSP ROMs *require* the Grappler+ to be in slot 5 and Disk II card in slot 6, otherwise it won't work.

@fozztexx you can get it on wifi by adding fnconfig.ini to the SD card with credentials. example is at https://github.com/FujiNetWIFI/fujinet-firmware/wiki/Sample-FNCONFIG.INI
at powerup, Fujinet mounts the config disk only as a SmartPort disk. You can power the Fujinet via USB before turning on the Apple II and use the web interface to mount a Disk II image in Disk II Drive 1. I believe this was working but recent reports are that it's broken.
as for the rom, you just take the smartport grappler+ file and concat it on top of itself until it fills the correct rom size, then burn that file. I forget the rom size but maybe 4 copies of it?
@fozztexx you can mount disk images to the virtual Disk II drives from the Fujinet webui if you have it on wifi already (I think this may be currently broken for Disk II tho). The Fujinet config disk only works over SmartPort.
@Recta_Pete I'm not a fan of Apple, but I have a free 2015 Macbook Pro A1502 that I use as a beater laptop. Solid hardware, no gimmicks or part trickery in it. Once in a blue moon it boots Mac OS when I need to use Apple Configurator otherwise Linux Mint is excellent on it.
