far fecken out π² π€―
i read this article with fascination, given i'm a child of the 60s & grew up with two smoking parents, smoking rels, & for instance still can "smell" the ghastly odour from the ashtrays when i washed them as part of doing the sunday roast washing up each week.
the vox pops were truly interesting, being such a stark reminder of the vast social change that's occurred since those days... not to mention my head-voice going "bet you're dead, bet you're dead, bet you're dead".
the last video, with a young male abc journo direct-to-camera, flabbergasted me. he kept using the word "propaganda" each time he described... not smoking ads, but anti-smoking reports. ads, leaflets, brochures et al π² π€― now i find myself wondering, in view of contemporary enshitification, was there actually any period in which aunty was worthy of my trust? π€π€·ββοΈ
